I have been getting some emails on how to run GNU Go 3.2 (development only). Here is a brief description:
For now, please build GNUGoCE Pocket PC 2002 DEBUG (gnugoce.exe, there are still some problems with RELEASE version) and GTP CE RELEASE (goce.exe) version. Copy them to the same folder on Pocket PC. Run GoCE.exe.
Path: Points to the location of gnugoce.exe Options: Command line options feed to gnugoce.exe. Please refer to GNU Go 3.2 for more info on the options available.
Button Run GnuGOCE: Start gnugoce.exe first, which is GNU Go 3.2 engine. After started gnugoce.exe (only once), click on OK button.
Server: localhost is the default. Port: 5000 is the default.
This two options are GoCE.exe command line options. Basically this tells goce.exe, which is gtp client, to connect locally on port 5000 to gnugo 3.2 engine. If you have a remote GNU Go 3.2 server on PC, you can connect to PC also.
Then issue gtp command using the drop down window and off you go!
Some basic GTP command sequences:
boardsize 19 komi 5.5 level 10 showboard black d 4 genmove_white showboard black d 10 genmove_white showboard ...
NOTE: These instructions are for developers ONLY. |

Hi,
Does anybody have a gnugoce.exe v. 3 for ARM PPC (HTC, with Win Mobile6)? I'd need much one but don't have a development env. set and binaries seem to be not available on the net.
many thanks, Zsolt |
